He was a lifelong resident of Paramus serving on the Paramus Police force from 1947 for the next 39 years, retiring as Police Captain. 

Although Paramus went to Hackensack High School before World War II, I have no way of knowing if Emil Setmayer attended Hackensack High School.

He is not listed on the Original Wall Unit list, but if we find that he went to Hackensack High School, he will be moved to the World War II list and Researched Veterans list.
